Deep Woods Lodge

CHARDON, OHIO, USA

Located in Geauga County, Big Creek Park is predominantly a wooded parcel of land, comprised of 644 acres within the Grand River Watershed. Geauga Park District created this Lodge to provide year-round service to the park’s visitors. The Deep woods Lodge was built to replace an open picnic shelter and it provides a jumping-off point for hiking, mountain biking, and cross country skiing by creating indoor gathering space as well as covered outdoor space by extending the roof canopy. Also located nearby are bridle trails, camping, a nature play area and it is a rest area along the Ohio Buckeye trail, a 1,400 mile hiking trail across Ohio.
